Keeping our kids healthy is a challenge. For me the hard part is when they are hungry every few minutes! Having healthy snacks on hand makes things a little easier. Frozen treats on those warm spring and summer days are even better when they are packed full of the good stuff! How cute are these popsicle molds? Check them out: Tovolo Bug Pop Molds, Set of 6.
Read my post about how to make Not-so Green Smoothies Your Kids Will Like! Can you tell I think these are great? Here’s my line up in the freezer…
Ingredients
- 1-2 bananas---A smoothie MUST for the creaminess. (You can even peel and freeze bananas if they are starting to go bad)!
- 1 cup frozen organic mixed berries---Costco (I buy the large bags of frozen organic berries).
- 1 cup Unsweetened Coconut milk (the fewer the ingredients the better)
- 1 cup frozen organic mixed fruit---Costco (I buy the large bags of frozen peaches.).
- 1 handful washed, organic baby spinach---Costco (You can get Earthbound Organic Baby Spinach in the large container).
Directions
- Add all ingredients to blender and blend.
- Add water to adjust to desired thickness.
Notes
Get creative! Once you get this process down try different variations with other greens and fruits both fresh and frozen!
