Beat the heat! I enjoy all things cool and fruity in the summer time. Young Living essential oils are a great companion to many of your favorite blended recipes. I hosted a Facebook event where a friend and I shared some of our favorite recipes. The event is over but the sharing continues below!
1. HOMEMADE PEPPERMINT CHIP ICE CREAM Lets kick this off with a series of ice cream recipes! I love this recipe although I can’t take all of the credit! 2. ORANGE CREAMSICLE ICE CREAM WITH ORANGE CHOCOLATE SAUCE You know how essential oils can trigger a memory response? This recipe triggers childhood memories for me of those chocolate orange balls we used to get at Christmas time.
3. FROZEN ORANGE CREAMSICLE SMOOTHIE by Marybeth
Clearly we have a thing for the creamy orangey flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 cups crushed ice
- 2 oranges (peeled)
- 2 bananas
- ½ cup organic Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Agave nectar or honey to taste
- 1 cup orange Juice
- 1 drop [Orange essential oil/http://lifesanity.com/essentialoils]
Directions
- Add all items to blender and puree until smooth!
- Consider making this one a frozen pop too!
4. FROZEN STRAWBERRY LEMONADE WITH LEMON ESSENTIAL OIL Slushie frozen awesomeness alert! Add 2-4 oz of vodka for an adult version or even pour this baby in a frozen pop mold for a strawberry lemony treat!
5. MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP SMOOTHIE by Marybeth
Ingredients:
- 2 cups crushed ice
- 1 cup spinach
- 2 cups almond milk
- Agave nectar or honey to taste
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup organic Greek yogurt
- 1 banana
- 1 avocado
- 1 drop Peppermint essential oil [Where to buy]
Add all ingredients to blender and puree!
6. CREAMY BANANABERRY VANILLA SMOOTHIE Blend and serve! I do this one almost daily!
7. LEMON BLUEBERRY COBBLER SMOOTHIE by Marybeth
Ingredients:
- 2 cups crushed ice
- 1 cup organic Greek yogurt
- 1 cup organic frozen blueberries
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp ground flax seed
- 1-2 drops Lemon essential oil [Where to buy]
- Agave nectar or honey to taste
Blend and serve!
