Homeschool: Turkey Craft for Kids…Gobble Gobble!

November 9, 2012 By Kara Leave a Comment

These little cuties were actually pretty simple to make!  Here is your supply list:

Toilet paper roll (you need one roll to make two)

Felt (brown, light brown, red, and yellow)

Feathers (at least 4 or 5 per turkey)  You can also cut feathers out of foam or construction paper.

Googly eyes (2 per turkey)

Hot glue gun (this is a staple craft weapon)

How to:

Cut the toilet paper roll in half.  I cut it down the side and then cut it in half and just taped the cut part back together.

Cut the dark brown felt to wrap around the roll.  Glue on with the hot glue.

Cut out the shape (seen in photo) for under the round turkey head.

Cut out a beak (triangle), little feet, and the red shape (seen in photo).

Layer and glue the pieces to make up the head and face and feet.  Glue on the googly eyes.

Flip the roll over and glue on the feathers.  As always, be careful with the glue gun!!
