Valentine’s Day Gingerbread House Craft (aka Love Shack?)

No truer words work spoken!  As time goes by you will see that glitter is incorporated into pretty much every craft I do.  This isn’t entirely by MY choice.  My girls LOVE glitter!  I don’t mind it, its just the terrible mess it leaves behind.  If the glitter princess dresses weren’t bad enough!

Post Christmas I found myself with a leftover gingerbread house.  Then it dawned on me….LOVE SHACK!  Well, Valentine’s Day Fairy house.  🙂   My girls decided their foam fairies would be the perfect addition to this craft (the dinosaur is there to protect them).  I managed to get the foam ferries to stay put by sticking them to a toothpick and then sticking the toothpick in between the house pieces.  The girls used glitter glue to outline the windows and door (just a touch of glitter of course).  I picked up some large conversation hearts at CVS and some little cinnamon hearts.  This was an easy craft and also provided another opportunity to read as we read what was written on the conversation hearts.  We were busy crafting and creating for about an hour.  Then they were off to play with their My Little Ponies!
